Harmony In Motion is a home-based practice where Jay Hoffos offers Manual Ostepathic Assessments and Treatments (MOT). As you make your way on the well maintained country roads east of Sherwood Park, you will find yourself at the tree lined driveway of the Hoffos Healing Haven.
If this is your first visit with Jay, your appointment will begin with a short visit to go over any of your history pertinent to your health and well-being. Jay will then lead you through both a general and a targeted, whole body assessment to help determine the best course of treatments and therapies to help your body find its' way back to optimal structure and function so that it can continue to heal. Your personalized treatment will always aim to treat your chief complaint(s), but will also consider the body, mind and spirit as a whole. With this in mind, we will move through assessment and treatment as we "listen" to what your body is telling us it needs in order to heal. As such, we follow the philososphy that we "Don't Hold a Therapeutic Agenda", rather we let "Your Body Priortize its' Healing Path".
The Manual practices that may be employed include:
- Manual Osteopathic Therapy
- Craniosacral Therapy
- Joint Mobilization
- Manual Lymphatic Drainage
- Muscle Energy Techniques
- Myofascial Therapy
- Osteoarticulation
- Visceral Manipulation
MOT is a manual therapy that is helped greatly if the client's attire is thin and not too loose or baggy. Dress if you were going to play volleyball or tennis.
